The term used in the United Kingdom and Ireland to protect the health, well-being and human rights of individuals, especially children, young people and vulnerable adults to live free from abuse, harm and neglect is known as Safeguarding. Responsibility for delivering safe, protective and effective care lies at the doorstep of everyone who has contact with children, young people and adults at risk.
Which means that Safeguarding is a key governance priority for our organisation. We have an absolute duty to provide a safe environment for all our staff and volunteers. However, that’s not all, we’re also required to ensure that all who engage with our organisation for any reason, at any level, including children and vulnerable adults, are not distressed or harmed in any way.
So, if you do know of anyone who is vulnerable or needs advice, please call us in strictest confidence on 07597 452162
