Health and Wellbeing

Health and Wellbeing

Health and well-being is made up of four factors, physical, intellectual, emotional and social. These are the key elements that help everyone through the day and keep us going.

  • Physical health – the functioning of the body
  • Intellectual health – the ability to think clearly
  • Emotional health – the ability to recognise emotions such as fear, joy, grief, anger etc., express them appropriately, as well as cope with stress, anxiety and depression.
  • Social health – the ability to communicate with other people and form relationships.

Disability doesn’t mean inability!

With accessible, comprehensive healthcare, everyone with a disability can enjoy a full, engaged, healthy and productive life.

If you are struggling to receive the right support or access to comprehensive healthcare, we can help you to communicate with your GP, hospital doctor or care service provider.
